在KET在考试中，语法会渗透到阅读、听力材料中，学生要能够阅读和理解，题目不能设置语法题目，这是一种隐性的语法考察。

另一方面，独立考虑语法的重点，即阅读。part5-开放式完形填空，是一种显性的语法调查。

一、辨主语 ：

虽然三者都可以表示费用，但是使用的主语是不同的：cost 主语通常是事物或事物(包括形式主语) it)，不能是人;spend 主语只能是人，不能是事或物；take 主语可以是事物或事物(包括形式主语) it)，也可以是人。

这台电脑花了(我) 2000 美金。

It costs $1000 a year to run a car.

每年使用一辆车要花费1000美元。

I have spent all day looking for you.

我整天都在找你。

It took me an hour to write the letter.

The letter took me an hour (to write).

I took an hour to write the letter.

我花了一个小时才写下这封信。

注：若 cost 这并不意味着花费，而是意味着客观地或被动地消耗，也可以用人作为主语。

Smokers cost the government a lot of money every year.

吸烟者每年都要花很多钱在政府上。

辨宾语：二、辨宾语：

cost 宾语通常是钱，take 宾语通常是时间， spend 宾语可能是时间或金钱。

How much did it cost to build the bridge?

建造这座桥要多少钱？

It took her two hours to walk to the station.

He spends much time (money) on books.

他花了大量的时间阅读(钱买)书。

注：cost 有时也用于时间，但一般只用于一般时间(一般不用于特定时间)。

辨别句型：三、辨别句型：

就句型结构而言。三种一般句型如下：

sth costs (sb) money 某物花多少钱？

it costs (sb) money to do sth 做某事要花多少钱？

sb spends time (money) on sth 某个人在某一方面花了多少钱？

sb spends time (money) in [on] doing sth 有些人在做某事上花了多少钱？

it takes sb time (money) to do sth = it takes time (money) for sb to do sth 花多少时间或金钱去做某事？

sth takes sb time (money) to do 某人花多少时间或金钱去做某事？

sb takes time (money) to do 一个人花多少时间或金钱去做某事？

辨别语态：

当三者表示花费时，cost 不能用于被动语态，take 通常不用于被动语态， spend 也可用于被动语态。

误：Thirty dollars was cost by the coat.

误：Two hours was taken to do the work.

正：Two hours was spent on the work.

花了两个小时来完成这项工作。
